Violence and Video Games Not Necessarily Correlated
I’m a sucker for graphs, I make them in my spare time out of inane statistics that no one really cares about. I lead a sad, sad life, but at least I can admit to my transgressions. Other people do much more useful things with graphs, like attempting to correlated the rate of release of video games deemed as “violent”, with real world crime statistics.

The results show an generally inversely proportional trend between violent game releases and the crime victim numbers. The crime numbers, the data was taken from the U.S. Department of Justice. The more violent games are released, the fewer number of victims per thousand. Not exactly what I would call an airtight conclusion, but it does make me snicker at the fact that perhaps not all the evils in the world are the result of video games.
