X07 Cancelled, Europe Weeps
Nothing like a kick in the teeth to get an entire continent snarling with discontent. Microsoft has skill in that area, judging by the recent announcement that it’s showcase European even, X0, would be cancelled for 2007.
Citing a desire to promote big ticket games like Halo 3, Forza Motorsport 2, and Bioshock: mass Effect as separate entities, Microsoft finally confirmed the cancellation, which had been rumored based on comments made by Microsoft honchos Aaron Greenberg and Major Nelson.
No word on whether there will be futre X0 events or if the entire concept has been panned indefinitely.
