You Too Can Help Save KQIX
This is an urgent request by your beloved cranky editor:
There is a game out there…cold, lonely, scared…cast off from the development family that once so tenderly saw to its needs and thrown into the junk heap amongst the failures and the could-have-beens. It does not belong here, O fellow gamers! It deserves a life - a good life - a coddled, cherished spot in gaming history.
I come to you today so that you can make a difference in just one game’s life. By your contribution, not of 3 easy payments of $14.99, but of participation in a campaign of words, you can save this discarded work in progress.
It came to my attention that Vivendi Universal Games has shelved plans to finish King’s Quest IX. I thought surely this was a misprint, but no, the game will never see the light of day unless we put our collective voice together and protest! Protest against inequity, inequality and elitism! Protest against the unfairness of being unable to recapture youthful gaming glory.
The Save KQIX Campaign has begun, and we all must do our part.

Hey hey now, I didn’t say the game was good. Just that it’s part of a series that was very important to me during my formative years as a gamer.
